“Virgin White Tea” Estate Tour

This is a low-country tea plantation within sniffing distance of the sea, owned by third-generation planter and author Herman Gunarathne. The estate is famed for its ‘virgin white tea’, which retails for over US$1,500/kg, and stocks the shelves of tip-top tea gourmet Mariage Frères in Paris. Guided tours of the serene estate include a walk-through of the antique factory and Oolong tea with cake.
